Dr. James Trussell joined the WCG Board of Directors in December 2016. Dr. Trussell is Professor Emeritus of Economics and Public Affairs and Senior Research Demographer of the Office of Population Research at Princeton University. He is also an Honorary Fellow at the University of Edinburgh. Dr. Trussell is the author or co-author of more than 350 scientific publications, primarily in the areas of reproductive health and demographic methodology. His recent research has been focused in 3 areas: emergency contraception, contraceptive failure, and the cost-effectiveness of contraception. Dr. Trussell received his BS in mathematics from Davidson College in 1971, a BPhil in economics from Oxford University in 1973, and a PhD in economics from Princeton University in 1975. He is a Senior Fellow at the Guttmacher Institute and a Deputy Editor at Contraception.
