San Diego, CA – Saundra Pelletier, WomanCare Global’s Chief Executive Officer, has been announced as the Keynote Speaker at Harvard School of Public Health Women in Leadership Student Organization’s “2014 Women in Leadership Conference.” The conference will provide the opportunity for students and alumnae to participate in discussions relating to the role of women in leadership positions in public health.
Ms. Pelletier has dedicated her life and career to empowering women, and she has been a major force in bringing attention to the need for women globally to access reproductive health supplies. She has grown WomanCare Global’s reach to over 100 countries while also serving as the CEO of Evofem Inc., a privately held biotechnology company that develops innovative prescription and consumer products.
“I’ve focused my career on empowering women and girls and I am grateful to Harvard School of Public Health for creating a forum that allows us to explore critical issues in women’s health,” said Saundra Pelletier. “I’m looking forward to sharing my experiences which include global private sector women’s healthcare leadership as well as public/private partnerships focused on improving women’s healthcare in developing markets with a specific emphasis on lower-resourced regions across Africa.”
“We are truly honored that Saundra will be joining us as the keynote speaker at this year’s Conference! The Conference will be a great opportunity for students, alumnae, and faculty here at Harvard to discuss what it means to be a leader in public health,” added Tari Owi, MS candidate ’14, Health Policy and Management, Harvard School of Public Health. “The Women in Leadership Student Organization brings innovative speakers to campus in order to inspire and provoke thoughtful discussion on women and leadership – we are confident Saundra will continue the trend.”
The 3rd Annual Women in Leadership Conference will be held on Saturday, March 29, 2014 from 8:00 am until 1:30 pm at Harvard School of Public Health.
